Lenovo, without any presentations, published on its website information about a new low-cost Lenovo Ideapad 1 laptop equipped with an AMD Mendocino APU. There are several modifications with different chip models to choose from.
Lenovo Ideapad 1 is equipped with a choice of dual-core Athlon Gold 7220U / Athlon Silver 7120U or quad-core Ryzen 5 7520U / Ryzen 3 7320U.
All these are processors of the Mendocino family, made according to the 6-nm process technology and equipped with integrated Radeon 610M graphics with two computing units. The chips use AMD Zen 2 cores and RDNA 2 graphics.
The laptop is offered in versions with a 14- and 15-inch TN screen with a resolution of 1366×768 pixels in models with Athlon chips, and in Ryzen modifications, there will be Full HD TN and IPS panels.
The maximum brightness is capped at just 250 nits. Ideapad 1 is equipped with 4 to 16 GB of LPDDR5-5500 RAM. The lower versions will have a 128 GB PCIe 3.0 NVMe drive, while the older ones will have a 512 GB PCIe 4.0 NVMe drive.
Other features include support for Wi-Fi 5/6, Bluetooth 5.0/5.1, USB Type-C 3.2 Gen 1, USB Type-A 3.2 Gen 1, USB 2.0, HDMI 1.4b, and an audio jack.
All models are equipped with a plastic case, a webcam with a protective shutter, and the top versions have a fingerprint scanner in the power button.
Declared autonomy reaches 14 hours of video playback. Exact prices have not yet been announced, but the younger models will cost approximately 40,710 INR.
