Oppo is now releasing new A-series smartphones in the Indian market. The manufacturer recently increased its affordable range with the launch of the Oppo A96 and the Oppo A76, and it has now launched a new model named the Oppo A16e. According to the rumors, this next Oppo A series phone will be an entry-level handset. Its primary features include a MediaTek Helio P series CPU, an AI single back camera, and more.
Oppo A16e Specifications in India
The Helio P22 processor powers the Oppo A16e. The octa-core MediaTek chipset is based on a 12nm FinFet CPU and comes with IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU compatibility. The entry-level Helio P series chipset is also paired with 3GB/4GB RAM for multitasking and a storage choice of 32GB/64GB. The device has a dedicated microSD card slot for extra storage and comes pre-installed with Android 11 OS, which is topped with the ColorOS 11.1 UI.
The Oppo A16e has a 6.52-inch IPS LCD display on the front. The display features a standard screen resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels and an 89.27 percent screen-to-body ratio. The panel also has a pixel density of 269 PPI and a refresh rate of 60Hz. Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protects the panel.
The photography setup on the Oppo A16e is simple. A 13MP AI camera is used in the back camera setup. At the rear, there is just one camera. The front panel has a 5MP selfie camera with an f/2.2 aperture. 4G VoLTE, single-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS are among the connectivity options. It also features a 3.5 mm headphone port for using wired headphones.
Oppo has avoided the use of a hardware fingerprint sensor for security, instead of including standard interface options like Face Unlock, Pin, and Password protection. The battery capacity is a smaller 4,230 mAh cell that benefits from 10W charging.
Price and availability of the Oppo A16e in India
With a price tag of Rs. 9,990, the Oppo A16e is one of the most affordable Android phones. It is the price of the model with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. There is also a 4GB RAM and 64GB storage option available for Rs. 11,990. The smartphone will be available in blue, white, and Midnight Blue. The sales date, as well as the details of online availability, are yet unknown.
