iPhone 14 rumored release date, specs, design and leaks

iPhone 14 rumored release date

The iPhone 14 is likely to be released next year at about the same time as previous models. It is expected to undergo a significant redesign, including a notch-free display, a fingerprint scanner under the display, as well as a punch-hole camera. Every year in September, Apple releases new iPhones, and indeed the iPhone 14 is likely to follow suit. While we are still many months away from the rumored release date, leaks are aplenty. These regular leaks have provided us with plenty of information on the iPhone 14. Their credibility, however, cannot be determined at this time. The most significant modifications are predicted in terms of design. According to rumors, the iPhone 14 will have a notch-free design, a punch-hole camera, an under-display fingerprint reader, no camera hump, and a titanium body.

The iPhone 14 is expected to be powered by Apple’s next-generation A16 Bionic processor. According to rumors, the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max would have 48-megapixel main cameras. However, the camera specifications for the basic iPhone 14 remain unclear. While that was a quick overview, we have more detailed rumors and information to share with you, so let’s get started.

Models

Ever since iPhone 5S, Apple has released many iPhone models, and indeed the iPhone 14 is likely to be no exception. According to multiple analysts, unlike the iPhone 13 and 12, the 14 is expected to drop the 5.4-inch iPhone 14 Mini variant.

Furthermore, Apple might develop a new iPhone 14 Max, which is a 6.7-inch version of the standard iPhone. It’ll be the same dimensions as the existing iPhone 13 Pro Max version and will have a larger screen and battery, making it ideal for individuals who want to have a widescreen iPhone experience without paying extra for the Pro model’s superior camera.

Biometrics

Apple launched Face ID as a safer and more efficient replacement to Touch ID with the iPhone X. However, Apple did not expect a worldwide epidemic that would force everyone to cover their face publicly. Since the introduction of mask regulations, users have been begging for an answer from Apple. The iPad Air 4 included a new Touch ID version incorporated in the Side Button, which might be used in future iPhones.

According to Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple has no plans to integrate Touch ID into the button. Although the technology will enhance the iPhone user experience, it is not suitable for small smartphones.

Apple is also working on incorporating Touch ID into the iPhone display. Despite the epidemic, Apple may be delaying the return of Touch ID to the iPhone until it has mastered this technology.

Display and Body

The iPhone 14 will most probably have the same flat-edged aesthetic as the iPhone 13, with slight differences in the display and body. The iPhone 13 introduced a 120Hz ProMotion display in iPhone Pro models. Reports say that all the new iPhone models will use similar display technology. This isn’t confirmed. ProMotion can be limited only to the Pro model. The ordinary iPhone 14 might not include a ProMotion and only include an LTPS Oled screen alone without a 120Hz ProMotion alternative.

However, there seems to be a twist to the possible variants. According to reports, the small 5.4-inch iPhone 13 mini may not have a replacement in 2022; Apple may opt-out of a small-sized iPhone and concentrate on larger-screen devices. Rather than the small-sized iPhone, Apple may introduce the iPhone Max model, with a 6.7-inch display the same as the iPhone 13 Pro Max – offering a larger screen model as well as a potentially bigger battery.

Camera

A new iPhone is often released with improved camera technology, and indeed the iPhone 14 will be no exception. According to the leaks, this model will have a modified look with a bump-free back camera model; it will be integrated flush into the glass body.

Analysts predict that the primary camera on the 14 Pro variants might be upgraded to 48 megapixels. There are even rumors of a periscope zoom lens with 8K picture quality. According to how other OEMs perceive the camera area, Apple might enter the league with a quad-camera for Pro versions and a triple camera for normal iPhone 14 models.

USB-C Port

One of the most persistent rumors about the iPhone 14 is that it will abandon the Lightning port in favor of USB-C connectivity. As previously stated, Prosser has expressed doubts about this. Other leakers, however, have praised the USB-C rumor, claiming that the new iPhones would have USB-C.

With the European Commission trying to force device manufacturers to use common charging with cords by 2024, the Lightning port’s days may be gone; after all, Apple has a significant European presence. However, whether Apple will make such a shift in time for the iPhone 14 remains to be seen.

Given that Apple’s iPads and MacBooks feature USB-C ports, we’d welcome a USB-C connection. But, given Apple’s track record of sticking to its beliefs if it comes to the iPhone, we’ll hold off on making any predictions until additional rumors arise.

Software

If Apple follows the trend it has followed for the better part of a generation, the iPhone 14 will debut in September with the latest version of Apple’s iOS software. Since we’re now running iOS 15, the next release can surely be iOS 16.

We have not yet received anything about Apple’s planned software upgrades for iOS 16, and we won’t until the company’s annual developers meeting in June.

With iOS 15.2 releasing dozens of new updates to the iPhone this month, Apple is now on a roll in terms of software.

iPhone 14 expected price in India

There is currently no information on the price of the iPhone 14. However, we anticipate that the price will stay stable for the coming years. For comparison, the basic edition of the iPhone 13 with 128Gb of internal storage costs Rs 79,990, which is the same as the iPhone 12’s debut pricing. The expected price is Rs 79,990 rs.

iPhone 14 release date

Apple traditionally releases new iPhones in the early part of September. They’re on sale on a Friday in the second half of the month. In keeping with tradition, Apple launched the iPhone 13 series on September 14 and made them available in markets throughout the world on Sept 24. The iPhone manufacturer is anticipated to keep this practice going this year or next, launching the iPhone 14 series during a big event in September 2022. However, the precise release date remains an open question for the time being.
