According to the update, the replacement of the batteries only for the four recently released iPhone 14 models has increased 43%. The price includes the cost of a new battery and service from an Apple Store or Apple Repair Center. iPhone battery replacement fees will also vary based on Apple Authorized Service Providers.

Taking into account that the battery capacities of the iPhone 14 are almost identical to those of the iPhone 13, it is not clear why the service has increased only for the iPhone 14 models. Thus, in India, the price the change of the battery of the other iPhone models is 5972₹ while replacing it in the iPhone 14 costs 9475 ₹.

As Apple explains on its official site, the change of the iPhone battery is charged when it stops working due to battery deterioration caused by normal use. While if the iPhone is under warranty, AppleCare+ then the repair is done free of charge but only if the battery retains less than 80% of its original capacity.
Though this update is one of the least attractive for users, it is also important to consider that users rarely have to resort to this expense. In most cases, the longevity of the iPhone battery should last several years until it is replaced.
